After getting my degree in Interior Design in 2013, I interned at Disney World, trying to figure out where I wanted to take my magic professionally. While there, I decided I wanted to plan weddings and started a program to become a Certified Wedding Planner. A few months later, I was back in Arizona and starting a new job at an all-inclusive wedding venue, where I truly learned the ins and outs of weddings from just about every vendor’s point of view. While it was exhausting some days, I am truly grateful for that work experience, because I learned how to make weddings go on successfully, not only paying attention to the needs of couples and families, but also to the vendors, and understanding what they need to make sure we hit the timeline on time.

After 8 years in the event industry, I finally planned a wedding for myself which was a valuable lesson for me. Of course with all of my experience, I knew I could handle planning it myself. Who are we kidding, I had some vendors picked out years before I even met my (now) husband. Planning a wedding for someone else is one thing, but when you’re also the bride who has to handle the guests and all of their needs (and was silly enough to over-accommodate and open too many cans of worms), it’s too much stress to handle for one person. Sure I hired a day-of coordinator from the venue, but she was only there to set up and make sure the timeline was followed, not handle all of the crazy that was happening behind the scenes! 

Through my experience, I was strengthened professionally because I now understand what all may be going on with my couples, and how to better be supportive for them. I’m not only making your wedding day stunning and memorable, but I’m your problem solver!
