2025 Wedding Trends We Adore

2025 Wedding Trends

While weddings are usually about following traditions, we see some trends come and go throughout the years. Trends can influence many factors for your wedding. This includes the colors you may choose, the dress you wear, or even the dessert you serve to your guests. For wedding professionals, there are some trends we are happy to see fade away, while others we wish were permanent traditions. 2025 will see some old trends making a comeback and also some brand new concepts we haven’t seen before, but love! If you love weddings as much as we do, you’ll be just as obsessed as us for these 2025 wedding trends!

1. Serpentine or “Caterpillar” Tables

Wedding Trends for 2025 - Curved Serpentine or Caterpillar Tables

Caterpillar or Serpentine table seating is a growing seating arrangement we are seeing in modern weddings. This can be achieved with tables that are actually built with a curve, or lining up round tables together, which is referred to as a “caterpillar” – recognizing the bubbly shape.

This seating arrangement style gives the same connection of family seating, but with a more inclusive atmosphere. This allows guests to gather closer, but also see more guests. Everyone also feels a greater connection to the rest of the party.

The round style of the curved tables also takes away from sharp lines, allowing for a more romantic and approachable feel. We love the romance added just by changing the shape of the tables. It truly changes the entire feeling in the room.

2. Wedding Dress Codes

Historically, weddings have had the bridal party wear the same dress, color, or color family, while guests have been given a generalized dress code, like cocktail or black tie, and can choose what to wear based on the dress code listed.

We are excited to see this changing as couples are leaning towards an overall aesthetic dress code given to everyone, guests and wedding party alike. This allows for everyone to feel included and gives more freedom to bridesmaids to wear something they feel more comfortable and beautiful in. The aesthetics can include a color scheme (neutral, all black, pastel, ect.) or a theme like garden party.

    3. Outfit Changes

Wedding Trends for 2025 - Outfit Change

Having an outfit change is becoming more common by couples. We aren’t only seeing this just for the girls, but grooms are getting in on the fun too! The formal clothing worn for the ceremony isn’t very comfortable, and we usually see men take off their jackets, ladies throwing up their hair and brides having to bustle the dress before introductions to the reception. Couples are now opting to change their looks from the wedding ceremony and going for a more fun and casual look for the reception.

You can completely change your look with a more lightweight dress, or simply just changing into more comfortable shoes. There’s no wrong or right way to do an outfit change. The goal is to still look chic while also being comfortable. We hope this 2025 wedding trend is here to stay!

    4. Elements of Texture

2025 Wedding Trends - Texture Wedding Invitations

When it comes to concepts, people love feeling immersed using all 5 senses. One way to add interest to your guests is with texture. Being able to see and feel texture, this gives guests more to experience at your wedding, and possibly without even realizing!

There are plenty of ways to add texture to a wedding. A runner with interesting fabric can be a simple addition to guest tables. Adding texture may not be necessary, as your venue may have a textured walls, carpets, or even chairs. Textures can even add an emotion to your wedding. For example, some tulle can add an element of delicacy and romance. You may even choose to include texture beyond the evening, and add some texture to your invitations.

    5. Unexpected Reds

The Unexpected Red color theory states adding an out-of-place splash of red to any look will look good no matter what. Interior Design and photography often play with this theory, be it a red table in a purple and green room, or a woman in a red dress captured in a photo of people wearing mostly blue and yellow.

We are excited to see the unexpected red theory come into play for weddings in 2025. This can mean red florals, red shoes hiding underneath the dress, or even throwing on some red lipstick. The possibilities are endless when it comes to finding a unique way to play with red on your wedding day!
